Drusy is the phenomenon of micro-crystals forming on a matrix which occurs in many colored minerals all over the world. To clean drusy pieces, rinse in clean water and pat
dry with a lint-free soft cloth. A good polishing cloth, like a
Sunshine Cloth, can be used on
the metal setting but care must be taken not to touch the drusy surface
which is fragile and will also pick up fibers from the cloth. If
fibers do attach to the crystal surface, carefully rinsing the pendant in clean
water should remove them.
